One of my intentions was to have (or at least feel) I have more time. So I wrote down and read aloud daily and think about it often. "There is plenty of time.
I am blessed with abundant time
I am mindful moving effortlessly
through time & space linked to the infinite source of divine love & wisdom & energy. I give thanks for generous time & space. Now for the most part, it is true. The best thing though is all the "perfect timing" & in sync things that keep happening - It's wonderful & I am thankful!

A friend of mine, a woman in her sixties, recently shared with me that she had been taught as a child that God was "up" in heaven. It was only recently that it occurred to her that if the earth is round, where is God? God must be "out" not "up." We had a good laugh over that. If there is a God at all, God must be very different than we have been taught.
If God is the energy that created the universe, it's possible that God is just a force of nature with no personality as humans think of it. And yet I wonder. Sometimes I look at the trees or the sky and seem to feel something behind these things reach out to me, as if it wanted to connect with me. At times this something seems to take delight in me, even love me.
If we are to be God in the world then I think we are to try to connect with each other, try to see the good in each other, take delight in one another. Sometimes when I think of the atrocities that are committed by human beings in the world, I think, "This person was once a two year old, smiling, playful, innocent child. What happened to make this person capable of such evil?" It helps me to not write people off and to have compassion. So that's one thing to do with the energy of the divine -- channel it into compassion and let that lead us to act in response.

It is not impossible for the world, like a family, to say that we want to love each other and we will work at this; it is difficult. Yes, it is much harder, but if we don't, what is the result?

Easier said than done. (1) You and your family love each other and want to be together. This is not true of everyone in the world. (2) Even in a family it only works well if we're committed to communication, to telling each other how we really feel on an ongoing basis. This is what makes for good relationships. How can we do this on a global level? (3) We have to expect that there will be annoyances, and that people will get angry and that that's OK. Many times people have different expectations for what is acceptable. The world is a whole different thing than a family. Much harder.

When I first read that about the Catholic bishops, my first impulse was to engage in argument, saying things like, "Wasn't the originator of Reiki a Catholic priest?" and "Just how did they determine this power is not from God?" But you have cut right to the heart of the matter and bypassed argument in saying these reactions people have are about the desire for power and control. In other words, ego stuff. I once read that a whole bunch of Buddhists came to the city of Washington, DC to meditate all at the same time, and while they were all doing this, the crime rate went way down. I wish I could be part of something like this. My part would be just one of many, but the more people there are sending out good vibes, the more calming effect there would be in the world, the more peace (rather than war or hatred) there would be.

Because I have not experienced what you seem to be describing, I don't understand how a person can just "choose" to believe. I believe when I have evidence to corroborate a theory or idea. I wouldn't expect anyone to believe something without some evidence. Can you give some examples of how the Divine has helped you or people you know? What does this look like in real life?
